Autism/Behavioral/Social-Emotional

Autism- ASD testing, or Autism Spectrum Disorder testing, typically involves a comprehensive assessment conducted by a multidisciplinary team, which may include psychologists, developmental pediatricians, speech-language pathologists, and other professionals with expertise in ASD (other disciplines will be referred out). The assessment process often includes a thorough review of the individual's developmental history, interviews with caregivers, direct observation of the individual's behavior, and standardized assessments to evaluate communication, social interaction, and behavior. These assessments may cover areas such as language skills, social communication, repetitive behaviors, sensory processing, and cognitive functioning. The results of the assessment help in determining whether the individual meets the criteria for an ASD diagnosis and can inform the development of appropriate intervention and support strategies.

Behavioral/Social-Emotional- Social, emotional, and behavioral testing involves the assessment of an individual's social and emotional functioning, as well as their behavioral patterns and responses. The assessment process may include interviews with the individual and their caregivers, direct observation of the individual's behavior in various settings, and the use of standardized assessment tools to measure social and emotional skills, behavioral concerns, and mental health symptoms. These assessments can provide valuable information about the individual's strengths, challenges, and any potential mental health concerns. The results of the assessment can inform the development of intervention plans, counseling services, and support strategies to address the individual's social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
